The Compaq 100 FDDI PCI Controllers are designed to meet the demands of high-performance servers and workstations. These low-cost FDDI
controllers are the preferred solution for corporate servers and enterprise backbones where reliability and performance are a must. High-end workstations
and workgroups will also benefit from FDDI's ability to move the huge data files required in CAD, digital image processing, and multimedia applications
quickly and efficiently.

High-Performance
The Compaq 100 FDDI PCI Controllers utilize 32-bit bus-mastering technology along with an Integrated Buffer Management Unit to maximize throughput
while minimizing CPU utilization.
Five Models for 100 Mbps FDDI PCI
The Compaq 100 FDDI PCI Controllers are available in both single attach station (SAS) and dual attach station (DAS) modes while supporting both
category 5 UTP and fiber-optic media.
Plug and Play
Automatically configures memory and interrupt settings for quick and easy installation
Dual Attach Station Capability
DAS controllers allow for the use of redundant FDDI rings. If a problem occurs on one ring, the secondary ring takes over without loss due to network
downtime. Compaq 100 FDDI PCI DAS Controllers do this while using only one PCI server slot.
Drivers for Mirrored Server Link (MSL)
Supports NetWare SFT III with MSL drivers. This allows for fault tolerant servers using NetWare SFT III for added network reliability.
Bracket Mounted LED Indicators
Light Emitting Diodes (LED Indicators) indicate link and network activity for "at-a-glance" troubleshooting.
Manageability
Management support is available through a SNMP DOS agent that ships with the controller or through most SNMP compatible agents.
Warranty
Maximum: The remaining warranty of the Compaq server product in which it is installed (to a maximum of a three-year limited warranty).
Minimum: One-year, on-site limited warranty.
