Moreover, it adds little weight to the unit (1/3 ounce or 8 grams) is less expensive to produce, and has minimal impact on the size of the unit, because it slides into the existing expansion slot. Compaq offers its own CF enhancements for modem and memory upgrade. Note: The V.90 and K56Flex protocols are designed only to allow faster downloads from V.90- and K56Flex-compliant digital sources. Error Connection Protection The Compaq 56K CompactFlash Fax Modem also includes MNP 10 to allow error-free connection protocols, providing high-throughput modem connections during adverse line conditions, which is essential for domestic and international communication. Plug-and-Play Installation and Hot Swapping The Compaq 56K CompactFlash Fax Modem is one of the easiest modems to install. Simply insert the modem into the CompactFlash slot of the Compaq Aero, and it's ready to access the Internet, and send and receive e-mails and faxes.
