Description =============================================== Whenever you add, remove, or move an EISA or ISA module in an Alpha system, run the EISA configuration utility (ECU) to configure the modules. The ECU is a menu based utility, run from the ARC menu interface. It provides on-line help to guide you through the configuration process. Each EISA or ISA module has a corresponding configuration file (CFG), which describes the characteristics and the system resources required for that option. The ECU uses the CFG to create a conflict free configuration. The ECU is supplied on a diskette that is shipped with your system. Make a copy of the ECU diskette, and keep the original in a safe place. Use the backup copy when you are configuring the system. The ECU diskette must have the volume label SYSTEMCFG. ----- *NOTE: ECU Contains Proprietary Code* The EISA Configuration Utility (ECU) contains code which is proprietary to Micro Computer Systems, Inc [1] ., and therefore is a royalty bearing utility for them, and cannot be freely distributed. -----
