Description
===========
The CXI01 Asynchronous Multiplexer products enable the asynchronous
connection of systems to modems, terminals, printers, instruments, and other
serial devices. The CXI01-AA consists of a host adapter and up to four
CXI01-AB modules. The CXI01-AD includes a host adapter module and one
external CXI01-AE module with connections for 16 asynchronous lines. Three
additional CXI01-AE modules are supported, each supporting three CXI01-AB
modules for a total of 224 asynchronous ports.

The main features of the CXI01 are as follows:
High-speed dial-in/dial-out remote I/O connections for
high-performance remote access systems
256K bytes to 1 Megabyte of dual-ported high-speed RAM
Supports "cooked" throughput speeds of up to 115K bps for each
asynchronous port
Ports are RJ45; convert to MMJ with CXI01-AF adapters, or to
DB25 with CXI01-AC cable converter
32K memory window for installation flexibility
