Description

The DECserver 250 is a six-line server. The DECserver 250 provides the
features such as multiple sessions, load balancing and automatic session
failover. The software resides on a DECnet host running OpenVMS or ULTRIX
and is downline loaded to the DECserver.
Features
========
Enables concurrent LAT sessions so users can access services
from multiple vendors
Connects asynchronous terminals, personal computers (in terminal
emulation mode), printers, and dial-up modems to a local Ethernet LAN
Handles network management functions from the Ethernet LAN site
so personnel and operations costs are minimized.
Each DECserver 250 supports a maximum of:
1 AUI Ethernet connection
1 RS-232-C connection with full modem control on port 1
4 RS-232-C serial ports (ports 1 - 4)
2 Digital Data Products parallel connections for printers on
ports 5 and 6
