The TZ875 is a compact "mini-library" with a capacity of five digital linear
tape (DLT) cartridges styled for tabletop use. It contains a compact loader
and a single TZ87 drive, packaged in a desktop unit weighing just 31 pounds
(14 kilograms). Designed for ease of use, the TZ875 has a convenient
cartridge magazine loading mechanism and an LCD display that monitors and
displays subsystem operation. The TZ875 offers a low friction, 6,000 hour
head life, self-cleaning heads, and over 500,000 media passes per cartridge
(or 10,000 uses of the cartridge). TZ875 is based on the TZ87N DLT tape
drive. The TZ875 is compatible with tape written by Tx85, Tx86, and Tx87
drives only and cannot read TK50 or TK70 media.
