---------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Feature* *Description* *Version* 1.0 Description =========== The SANworks Director Connectivity Manager (SDCM) V1.0 is a Java-based graphical user interface that enables the user to manage users and products, monitor products, and open Product Managers. The SDCM is a complete management solution for Compaq's Directors and Director based SANs. ----- *NOTE: Product Managers accessible only through SDCM* Although the SANworks Director Connectivity Manager and Product Managers are separate applications, the Product Managers are only accessible through the SDCM. ----- SDCM provides SAN management functionality for the StorageWorks SAN Director 64. SDCM can be run locally on the Enterprise Fabric Connectivity Server running a Windows NT/ W2K operating system or remotely on any network-attached user workstation in the enterprise. SDCM can also run on a notebook computer mounted on a slide out drawer in the cabinet, which also has an external ZIP drive mounted on the drawer used to periodically provide automatic backup of switch configuration information. The JAVA based deployment support give IT administrators the flexibility to run SANworks Director Connectivity Manager from virtually any type or size client device including Sun, AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows 2000. The SDCM provides centralized management for the StorageWorks SAN Director 64. The Connectivity Manager is a multi-director switching fabric management application that provides a user-friendly interface with graphical displays and real time interactive displays of operational status and performance statistics. The SDCM, Fabric Manager, and Product Managers are installed on the SDCM server to provide local access to managed products. These applications can also be installed on remote user workstations to provide remote access to the managed products. A maximum of four concurrent remote users (in addition to the local SDCM server user) can log in to the SANworks Director Connectivity Manager application.
