Compaq Insight Manager for CA Unicenter TNG is a comprehensive solution that
simplifies IT management by enabling direct access to Compaq Intelligent
Manageability from within the Unicenter environment. Through the versatility
of the Compaq Management Agents, this solution integrates Compaq hardware
management and event notification, providing the most manageable platform
for Unicenter TNG across a wide range of operating systems. This includes
Microsoft Windows 2000 / NT, Novell NetWare, Linux, Compaq Tru64 UNIX and
Compaq OpenVMS. The strength of this integration lies in its foundation,
which builds upon the functionality of the Compaq Management Agents. This
comprehensive and scalable solution works directly with native Unicenter
applications, including WorldView, Enterprise Console, TNG Agent Technology
and the Unicenter Asset Management Option, to monitor Compaq servers,
clients, and storage configurations using Unicenter TNG as the primary
management console. Additional Compaq systems data is available through an
integrated browser launch to the Compaq Management Agents home page, which
also provides access to other web-based Compaq applications, such as Survey
and Intelligent Cluster Administrator. For advanced lights-out management
and deployment of Compaq systems, a link to the Remote Insight Lights Out
Edition is also available. Where further Compaq workgroup management is
needed, the integration includes optional application launches from the
Unicenter WorldView interface to Compaq Insight Manager, and Insight Manager
XE. For storage specific management, a launch to the SANworks Open SAN
Manager application is available via the Compaq SANworks Management
